Excellence is the Disciplined Way.
Shaped by what is done now, expressed when the moment arrives.
John Brandi, Ph.D. (“Coach JB”) is a professional psychologist who helps athletes and leaders perform at their best when it matters most.
His doctorate concentration was in Human Development and Motivation from Fordham University, and he has taught at Fordham, FDU, and City University. He is a psychologist with extensive experience working with adolescents and young adults, now specializing in sports and organizational psychology.
Coach JB brings decades of coaching experience across the high school, collegiate, and semi-professional levels. He has worked with championship football, lacrosse, and wrestling programs, and mentored individual state champions. He has served as a sports psychologist for collegiate baseball teams, including a College World Series program, as well as Junior Hockey athletes pursuing advancement to the next level.
In addition, he consults with professionals and business organizations on leadership, executive development, and team performance. His work includes executive coaching and group-based training focused on communication, decision-making, and the dynamics of high-performing teams. He also works with leadership groups to strengthen cohesion, accountability, and performance under pressure.
Grounded in the Aristotelian tradition of virtue and excellence, his approach centers on the disciplined formation of habits—focus, emotional control, and consistent execution—training individuals to operate fully in the moment, shaped by what is done now and carried into performance when it matters.
He works with individuals and teams to bring their best to each moment.
