Valerie Walburn is a Licensed Social Worker with an MSW from Rutgers, an MBA from Columbia University, and a BA in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. She is recently certified in Nutrition and Mental Health, has an Aging and Health Certificate from Rutgers, and is an Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist.
Valerie has experience with adolescents, adults, and older adults in various settings. She draws from many modalities, including interpersonal therapy, which focuses on relationships to create change, solution-focused brief therapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapy. Valerie is trained to help her clients heal from loss and uses a trauma-informed approach. Valerie helps her clients identify, lean into, and build upon their strengths in dealing with challenges. She also has a passion for assisting individuals and families as they navigate the aging process. She is a passionate advocate for aging adults and barrier-free accessibility for all.
