Tea as a Health Habit

When it comes to tea, a cup a day could help keep the doctor away – and increase your lifespan!

As of January 2020 researchers say people who drink green or black tea varieties at least three times weekly show improved cardiovascular health. The benefits were most pronounced in men and green tea drinkers; although, the correlations remained for women and people who prefer black tea.

The health benefits of tea are attributed to polyphenols – organic chemicals also found in foods such as red wine, dark chocolate and berries. Still, green tea is the most recommended source of polyphenols because of the amount of data gathered so far on its various health benefits.
