Michelle is currently completing her Master’s in Social Work at Ramapo College with a focus in children and families. Michelle utilizes a client focused and strengths based approach, understanding that each individual is unique.
Michelle strives to create a warm and supportive environment where individuals feel comfortable being themselves. Michelle’s focus is to build a trusting therapeutic relationship, allowing the therapeutic process to be shaped by each individual’s needs and experiences.
Michelle’s approach is also influenced by ecological systems theory; she recognizes that individuals do not exist in isolation, their experiences are shaped by the relationships, environments and systems surrounding them. Michelle acknowledges that understanding the larger context is an important part of supporting the whole person.
In all, Michelle’s goal is to create a therapeutic environment where individuals feel heard and supported. She aims to empower individuals to recognize their strengths and feel more confident navigating life’s challenges.
