Chiropractic Care

An expert team that can deliver the relief you need.

Chiropractic medicine is a natural, evidence-based method of healthcare that has been shown to be effective in treating many different types of injuries and conditions. In fact, back pain is one of the most common ailments treated by chiropractors being that 31 million Americans experience lower back pain at any given time.

Chiropractors can diagnose and treat problems through manual therapy rather than prescribing medication. Common conditions treated by chiropractic physicians include:

  • Arthritis
  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
  • Chronic Pain Syndrome
  • Extremity Pain/Conditions (Shoulder, Elbow, Wrist/Hand, Hip, Knee, Ankle/Feet)
  • Golfer’s Elbow
  • Headaches
  • Joint Pain
  • Low Back Pain
  • Neck Pain
  • Postural Dysfunction
  • Radiculopathy
  • Sciatica
  • Spinal Disc Problems
  • Spinal Stenosis
  • Spondyloarthropathies
  • Sports Injuries
  • Tennis Elbow
  • Vertigo
  • Whiplash

Our chiropractors have advanced knowledge of neuromusculoskeletal biomechanical issues, which they incorporate into every diagnosis and treatment plan. Patients seeking our chiropractic services will undergo an initial evaluation to assess the injury and/or condition of concern before a focused treatment plan is established.

CHIROPRACTIC TREATMENT OPTIONS

Chiropractic Manipulative Therapy

Also known as adjusting, chiropractic manipulative therapy involves gently pressing on specific joints to create movement and restore normal biomechanics.

Deep-Tissue Laser Therapy

Light therapy utilizes certain wavelengths to help increase circulation, decrease pain, and improve soft tissue healing.

Therapeutic Exercises

Certain rehabilitative exercise may be prescribed as part of a treatment plan to support the joints and muscles and reduce the chance of reinjury.

Flexion-Distraction

This method involves a special table with a mobile rear portion that can be flexed and turned in a variety of positions to gently mobilize the lower back joints.

Trigger Point Release

Trigger points are areas within muscle tissue that can cause referred pain to other parts of the body. Trigger point therapy involves applying pressure (by hand or with a tool) to help relax the area stimulating the pain.

Myofascial Therapy

Sometimes referred to as muscle stripping, this technique works to break up fibrotic adhesions within muscle and fascia.

Instrument Assisted Soft-Tissue Mobilization (IASTM)

This technique uses a specialized tool to help decrease inflammation, reduce pain, and accelerate tissue healing by stimulating cells to produce healthy tissue restoration.

Electrical Stimulation (E-Stim)

E-Stim involves electrodes that are applied to the surface of skin and release a small current, which helps soothe muscle spasms. It can also facilitate the release of enkephalins, which are the body’s natural pain relievers.

Neural Mobilization

When nerve tissues are damaged, it can lead to scar tissue formation and pain. This treatment focuses on restoring the normal conduction of nervous tissue.

Kinesiology Taping

After undergoing a treatment, kinesiology tape helps support the muscles and fascia allowing the body to heal.

At North Jersey Health & Wellness, the goal of our chiropractic team is simple — offer effective relief solutions that help our patients remain as active as possible in their day-to-day.
