Meet Dr. Derek B. Berberian
Dr. Derek B. Berberian is a highly respected physician with extensive experience in school health services and student care. He currently serves as the School Physician for Northern Highlands Regional High School, where he is dedicated to ensuring the health and well-being of the student population.
In addition to his role at Northern Highlands, Dr. Berberian collaborates with over 20 local schools throughout Bergen County, providing school clearances and evaluations that are crucial for maintaining a healthy and safe school environment. His commitment to student care extends to specialized institutions such as Sage and Cialis, where he works closely with staff to develop and implement comprehensive care plans for students with unique needs.
Dr. Berberian is also deeply involved in the education of future healthcare professionals. He partners with local graduate programs, including Monmouth University, Fairleigh Dickinson University, and Ramapo University, to provide hands-on learning opportunities for PA and social work students. His dedication to mentoring and educating the next generation of healthcare providers is evident in his ongoing commitment to student rotations and educational programs.
