I am a Psychiatric Physician Assistant with prescriptive privileges and two years of experience in outpatient psychiatry. I have treated a wide range of psychiatric conditions, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, OCD, substance abuse, schizophrenia, and personality disorders. I am a West Point graduate and former army captain. Upon my discharge from the army in 2010, I obtained my Master of Fine Arts in creative writing from Rutgers-Newark, graduating in 2012. I chose the PA (physician assistant) profession because I had great respect for the PAs who treated me when I was in the army. I chose psychiatry when it dawned on me that I was more interested in the mind than in the cervical spine or anterior cruciate ligament, and I’m very happy with how things have worked out! I truly enjoy listening to my patients. My philosophy is not to judge and to use my medical knowledge to the very best of my ability to help my patients as if I was helping a family member.
