Christina Romeo is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and earned her Masters of Social Work from Ramapo College.
Christina specializes in working with the LGBTQ+ community, individuals with addictions, and children and teens. Christina’s clinical areas of interest include working with marginalized populations to promote acceptance, diversity, and self worth. She believes that the journey of self understanding and acceptance is highly individual and tailors each session to focus on the person and their environment.
Christina’s other focus is working with children and families to better understand and cope with issues of anxiety and depression. She is well trained in using evidenced-based treatments, such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy, to improve life conditions and reduce negative thoughts and experiences.
Christina uses a combination of techniques and skills to connect with her clients and foster trust in the therapeutic setting. Building strong rapport allows her to understand the unique needs of those she sees for counseling. Christina believes that every person has numerous strengths and she uses those to empower her clients to grow in ways that promote internal healing and allow them to be their authentic selves.
