Depression

We tailor your treatment to you, not the other way around.

Persistent feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and worthlessness are often diagnosed as depression. Major depressive disorder can happen to anyone, regardless of age, gender identity, sexual orientation, or race, and takes a toll on an individual’s mood, behavior, and health — negatively impacting their everyday life.

Common signs/symptoms of depression include:

  • Ongoing feelings of sadness
  • Anxious thoughts
  • Feeling hopeless and/or helpless
  • Losing interest in activities that used to be enjoyable
  • Lack of concentration
  • Social isolation
  • Constant feelings of restlessness and irritability
  • Excessive hunger or loss of appetite resulting in weight gain or loss
  • Oversleeping or lack of sleep/insomnia
  • Thoughts of suicide

Depending on the severity of the condition, the treatment for the disorder may vary. All our patients seeking help with depression will meet with one of our physicians for a professional diagnosis. From there, each patient will be given a tailored treatment plan that may include psychiatrist sessions, treatment center relocation, or anti-depressant prescriptions based on the level of attention and care needed.
