Rachel H. Fastow

Rachel H. Fastow is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) in the state of New Jersey and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of New York. She is also presently a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC) issued by the National Board of Certified Counselors.
Fastow received her Master’s of Art in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Fairleigh Dickinson University where she was inducted into Chi Sigma Iota, the International Counseling Honor Society. She completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Communication Studies from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania.
Rachel began her career in a Psychiatric/Vocational Rehabilitation Program as a Mental Health Counselor working with adults diagnosed with chronic mental illnesses and developmental disabilities. Since then, she has joined the North Jersey Health & Wellness team as a therapist, where she conducts individual therapy.
She has strong interpersonal skills and primarily utilizes a combination CBT and Gestalt-based therapy and interventions. She firmly believes in the connection between the mind and body and utilizes holistic approaches with an emphasis in person-centered therapy.
She incorporates an approach that is unique to each individual’s needs in order to best support them to help foster growth and emotional wellbeing. Rachel's goal as a therapist is to help individuals realize their full potential and achieve an inner peace that nurtures growth and well-being.
