Lucy H Albro
Lucy is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Grief Certified Counselor (GC-C), and a New Jersey State Certified School Counselor. Lucy received her Masters of Education in Professional Counseling from William Paterson University. Lucy focuses on a person-centered approach and applies techniques specific to each patient. Before receiving her degree in Professional Counseling, she worked for over 20 years in the areas of education, social relations, agency, and public community settings with children, adolescents, and adults. She has also worked in the intellectually disabled field for over 10 years. Lucy specializes in grief counseling and has over 10 years of volunteer experience in the grief counseling field. She facilitates grief support groups with children and adolescents, ages 5-25, who have dealt with trauma and loss. Lucy understands that grieving a loss lasts a lifetime and should not be ignored— it’s a matter of how one processes grief that can change one’s life. Lucy is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), the National Alliance for Grieving Children (NAGC), and a past Clinical Advisory Council (CAC) member for Comfort Zone Camp, a free bereavement program for children and their families. Lucy enjoys spending time with her family and friends and in cultivating her passion for professional growth in the mental health field.
