Dr. Derek B. Berberian, MD

Dr. Derek Berberian, MD is originally from Upper Saddle River, NJ and earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Syracuse University. After graduating from medical school, Dr. Berberian completed his residency at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and maintains clinical affiliations with Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Holy Name Hospital and Hackensack University Medical Center. Dr. Berberian’s focus includes the adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.

Dr. Berberian has extensive experience working with Veterans and helping patients to cope with post combat trauma. His clinical interests include anxiety, PTSD, OCD, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, weight loss, smoking-cessation, movement disorders, neuropathies, headaches and addiction psychiatry. In addition, he performs outpatient bariatric screening, biofeedback, neurofeedback and EEG evaluation. Dr. Berberian is very involved in serving his community both in the local school districts as well as nursing homes. Outside of the practice of medicine, Dr. Berberian enjoys spending time with his family, and is an avid golfer, NY Giants Fan and Syracuse Orange Fan.
