Alyssa helps her clients understand how to regulate their emotions, which is increasingly important. From there her focus shifts to teaching how to develop and then practice better coping skills. Alyssa believes this creates a foundation on which better problem solving skills can be taught and learned. Ultimately Alyssa understands how important it is to cultivate positive behavioral changes both in school and at home.
Alyssa strongly believes in providing a safe, genuine setting where the tools required for better stability and structure are readily available in order to help any individual comfortably realize and overcome their difficulties and move forward towards personal happiness. Through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and a Solution-Focused approach, Alyssa explores the uniqueness of each client’s concerns, removing any fear of judgment, in order to help them build on their strengths and focus on the right solutions for a more permanent well-being.
